LAS VEGAS (AP) — A North Las Vegas man stationed at Nellis Air Force Base has been charged with murdering his wife.
North Las Vegas police say 41-year-old Jarom Boyes shot Melissa Boyes on April 6. She also was an airman at Nellis.
Her death originally was reported as a suicide after her body was found in their master bathroom with a shotgun wound to the chest.
Officer Chrissie Coon says new evidence suggests she was shot after a verbal argument between the couple turned violent.
Coon says they found a hole in the wall about the size of a human head with broken ceramics on the floor. There also was a trail of blood leading to the body.
Jarom Boyes is charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon.
